Purpose of the website
The purpose of this website is to publicise Xplore Health and to provide information on biomedical research and on the activities carried out within the scope of this project, and to provide access to educational tools in relation to this subject.
Xplore Health is a project funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission, which is being coordinated by Parc Científic Barcelona in collaboration with a Consortium of European institutions (Centre of the Cell, European School Net [EUN Partnership AISBL], European Network of Science Centres and Museums [ECSITE] and Ubach Munné & Asociados), hereinafter the Consortium, with the support of private capital.
Acceptance of the conditions of use
Persons accessing or using this website shall be granted the status of user, which entails acceptance on their part of these general conditions of use, and it is the responsibility of users to be aware of said conditions.
Fundació Parc Científic Barcelona reserves the right to modify these general conditions in agreement with the Consortium, and to make changes to the operation of the website and, in general, to elements of its design and configuration without prior notice.
The information contained on this website is made available to users as information owned by itself and by third parties. The Consortium shall take reasonable steps to ensure that said information is precise, complete, appropriate and up-to-date. Notwithstanding the above, the Consortium does not guarantee and is not responsible for the absolute reliability of the information it publishes, given that it may contain errors (including typing errors).
Fundació Parc Científic Barcelona does not guarantee the uninterrupted operation of the website and the server, and reserves the right to temporarily suspend its operation, without prior notice, in order to carry out maintenance, repair, updating or improvement operations on the website.

Use of the website, its content and services
Use of this website is free of charge and does not require registration on the part of users, with the exception of certain functions.

Intellectual and industrial property

The Consortium confers the Creative Commons licence upon the tools of Xplore Health, which are published under the Attribution/Noncommercial/No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND) licence, which requires the authorship of the work to be mentioned in all cases and does not permit its commercial use or the creation of derived works (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/). Notwithstanding the above, it does permit its use for personal, educational and non-commercial purposes. With respect to multimedia tools, such as virtual experiments, video games or animations, in no case can these be downloaded. With regard to the documents available on the “Resources for educators” section, the licence shall be Attribution/Noncommercial-ShareAlike (BY-SA), which does allow the documents to be downloaded and modified, provided the Xplore Health website address and the logos present on the document are maintained.
The user accepts the licence and shall not use the content of this website for any purposes other than the ones specified in the above paragraph; in particular licences cannot be granted for the use of Xplore Health tools, nor can they be distributed commercially, unless express agreement is reached with the Consortium.
