Xplore Health project was presented by Eloise Gerard from European Schoolnet at the "New Perspective in Science Education" conference in Florence on 8 March 2012.
The project was introduced in the context of a presentation on "Sharing Good Practice Examples and Tips from European Science Education Projects: Scientix, Nanochannels, UniSchooLabs, Xplore Health and inGenious".
In that presentation, the possibility to share good practices and results of science education projects through the Scientix platform was highlighted. Scientix (http://scientix.eu) is the web-based community for science education in Europe managed by European Schoolnet (EUN, http://eun.org) on behalf of the European Commission DG RTD. Scientix collects teaching materials and research reports from science education projects financed by the European Union (EU) under the FP6 & FP7 (DG RTD), the LLP (DG EAC) and various national initiatives. Registered users can request translation of the teaching materials into any of the 23 languages of the EU.
Xplore Health project is already available on Scientix. The various tools and resources available on Xplore Health are part of the Scientix community and translation requests can be done by users. See for example the teacher guide available on the first module on drug development: http://www.scientix.eu/web/guest/resources/resource-detail?resourceId=99999833&TitleResource=How+are+drugs+develop...
All upcoming tools developed for the future modules will also be available on the Scientix platform.
