Xplore Health brings current obesity research to secondary school teachers in Madrid

High school teachers from the Community of Madrid can already register to the course "Obesity: a threat of the 21st century", which is organized by the National Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid (MNCN) in collaboration with Xplore Health, a project jointly promoted by IrsiCaixa and "La Caixa" Banking Foundation.

The main objective of this course is to facilitate a scientific update on the research carried out in the field of obesity, eating disorders and healthy habits. The program includes lectures given by experts and workshops where teachers will use a wide variety of multimedia resources, reflection and debate games, and protocols of experiments, available on the website of the Xplore Health project, that they can later implement in their science lessons.

Up to 30 high school teachers can register free to the course that will take place in the MNCN during nine teaching hours on November 27, 29 and 30 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For more information and registration send an e-mail to inscripcioncurso@mncn.csic.es.
